Information for new cruisers and those who have cruised before might want to remind themselves

Muster Drill:
Before we sail, the ship has a “Muster Drill” which is a fire drill. All passengers must attend this lovely ceremony. The best thing about the drill is… we
sail immediately after and that means – “Sail Away Party” !!

Laundry:
There are no self serve laundry facilities on board. They do have a great laundry service. Put it on your bed in the special bags provided in the morning and the next day it is returned cleaned and/or pressed. Irons are NOT allowed on board.

Internet:
There is an Internet Cafe called Royal Caribbean Online and you can purchase a package for the cruise or pay by the minute. They have wireless available as well so you can bring your laptop.

Candles:
I mentioned the fire hazard of using irons on board and this also applies to steamers and candles. These are a NO NO.

Carry On Luggage:
Carry ALL your valuables with you, medications and your camera. This includes your cruise documents, SetSail Pass, Passport, Photo ID, Credit Cards and any other identification you might need. There is a time lapse before we have our luggage in our cabins, so put the things you need immediately in your carry-on luggage.

Luggage:
When we get to the port, the luggage is given to the luggage handlers to put onto the ship. (with 20,000 other pieces)
There will be special luggage tags that you put on your bags which will identify them. The bags should arrive in your cabin before dinner.

Alcohol:
We are now unable to bring our choice of alcoholic beverage on board.
The cruise line is now enforcing the rules and will require you to remove it from your luggage and they will hold it until you return to home port.
They x-ray the bags when they come on board so it is easy for them to detect

Phone Service:
You will want to call your provider and see what the plan is for calls from Mexico. You may have to set something up with them. It might be too expensive. If you have your phone on the ship you can get their satellite feed but again - very expensive in addition to your provider charges. The charges for the phones in your cabin are truly outrageous and only for emergencies! Best bet is to buy a phone card and use a payphone.

Checking In:
Anytime after 11:30  is the best time to check in. The earlier the better to avoid the crowds. You must check in before 4:00 PM or your reservation will be canceled!  When you check into the desk at the port, your identification will be checked against what you have put in the computer to set up your SetSail Pass (you printed it), you will not get on board without having filled out this information ahead of time online. See home page for info. An imprint of a credit card will be taken (for your on board charges). You will be given a SeaPass Card. This looks like a credit card and indeed it is, but it is also your door key. You will not need money on board, just use your SeaPass Card to charge all of your purchases to your account.

The only uses for money on board will be in the Casino and if you are going to pay at the end of the cruise for your charges rather than leave them on your credit card. You can also pay money on your account when you come on board – it saves the lineups and it saves you from worrying about your money and keeping it in the safe.

Gratuities:
We have prepaid all the necessary gratuities. You may add additional amounts for the people you feel have given you great service and/or made your stay on the ship a memorable one. These envelopes are given out on the last evening to the appropriate recipients.
